Silang Mayor Kevin Anarna directed local government personnel to prepare for the possible onslaught of super typhoon Betty.
The local personnel repacked relief goods for the families who may be affected.
They prepared 1,000 hygiene kits with clothes and slippers for children and the elderly.
They also prepared 1,000 family kits.
The municipal government reminded residents to call its hotlines in case they need help.
Its official Facebook page is also ready to receive messages, it said.
