San Jose Mayor Ben Patron reported to his office on his birthday expecting an ordinary day, but local government personnel had something else planned for him.
They prepared a party for the mayor that included a colorful welcome on the driveway.
They greeted him with balloons and flowers as soon as he stepped down from his vehicle.
They also had a party set-up inside the town hall where they played video greetings from the mayor’s friends and colleagues, including Senators JV Ejercito and Grace Poe.
Patron thanked them for the gesture. He jokingly reminded them that he specifically told them not to hold a party for him, and yet they defied him.
He also thanked his colleagues for helping him to ensure the progress of their town.
He had a truly special birthday!
