Pakil Mayor Vince Soriano met with Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez to deliver the Laguna Mayors’ petition seeking the help of the House of Representatives.
The mayors’ petition hopes to bring down the electricity rates in their areas by 30 percent.
The lower rates will help residents save more money, which they could use for their families’ needs, said Soriano.
Soriano said all the Mayors of towns in the Baybay area of Laguna’s fourth district signed the petition.
They are the mayors of Kalayaan, Paete, Pakil, Pangil, Siniloan, Famy, Mabitac and Santa Maria. Also joining them in signing the petition are the mayors of Cavinti and Pagsanjan.
