San Pedro City has received a new bus that it could use, and it came courtesy of the grandmother of Mayor Art Mercado.
In a Facebook post, Mercado thanked his grandmother, Josefina Alon-Alon Mercado, for her very generous gift for the city.
The bus was officially turned over to the city during Monday’s flag ceremony.
Mercado’s cousin Marty Mercado of Silver Star Bus Lines joined the event.
The mayor said this donation would be a very big help to residents.
“Malaking tulong po ito sa atin at sa ating mga kababayan upang mas mapadali at mas ligtas na po ang ating pagpunta sa iba’t ibang lugar. Pauna pa lamang daw po ito at may susunod pa,” he said.
