Antipolo City gov’t signs MOA with drug treatment and rehabilitation center

The Antipolo City government will be providing proper intervention for drug dependent residents by referring them to the Department of Health’s Treatment and Rehabilitation Center in Bicutan.

The city government and the DOH signed a memorandum of agreement for this. This would also provide the drug users with the proper after care and follow up programs, projects, and activities, said Antipolo Mayor Jun Ynares.

Ynares also said the drug dependents would only be brought to the rehabilitation center on a voluntary basis.

The city government would shoulder all expenses for the treatment, he said.

This would provide the drug dependents with a new lease on life, he said.

Ika nga, hangga’t may buhay, may pag-asa,” he said.

In the coming days, the city government is also set to sign agreements with private rehabilitation centers located in Antipolo.
