Antipolo protects goats from the cold

The Antipolo City government made sure that goats being raised in one of its communities would not get sick from the cold weather.

In a Facebook post, Antipolo Mayor Jun Ynares said the city government provided medication and supplementation for the goats of farmers in Sitio Binayoyo, Barangay San Jose.

Ynares said he did not want the goats coming to harm because of the cold weather from the northeast monsoon.

If the goats get sick, the livelihood of the farmers would be affected, he said.

“Kung dito sa sentro ng lungsod, malamig na, what more sa lugar nila. Sayang naman kung magkasakit at mamatay. Kaya inagapan na natin para hindi rin maapektuhan ang kabuhayan ng ating livestock raisers at farmers,” he said on Facebook.

He thanked the City Veterinary Office whose personnel traveled far in order to bring the medicines and supplements for the goats to the community.
