Residents of Famy will be able to join the Laguna Cacao Farmers Association and get the chance to make their own chocolates and other cacao products.
Famy Vice Mayor Freddie Valois said the Laguna Cacao Farmers Association would put up a chapter in Famy.
Valois invited residents to join the group.
This would help the town produce its own chocolates, tablea, cacao vinegar, and cacao cider, he said.
The residents would be taught to plant and grow cacao plants and to process cacao seeds.
Planting cacao would also be an alternative to rice farming, he said.
