Silang to offer Philippine Postal ID application

Silang residents who need a valid ID for transactions could get one from the municipal hall.

The Silang local government would be processing Philippine Postal ID applications, the public information office announced on Facebook.

It advised residents to stay tuned for the date of the application opening.

To get the ID, residents would just have to present a birth certificate (original and photocopy), a barangay clearance or proof of billing under the applicant’s name, marriage contract for married women, and the P650 fee.

The postal ID could be used for passport applications, bank account openings, the claiming of money remittances, ewallet account verification, and national ID registration.
