It seems like there’s no stopping scammers, especially with the holidays fast approaching.
Majayjay Vice Mayor Ariel Argañosa warned business owners in the town against a scammer using the name of a councilor to order food for a supposed event.
It was a good thing that the restaurant called the town council to confirm the order, and learned that the councilor did not place any such order.
Argañosa urged businesses to verify if they are talking to a legitimate customer.
