Cavinti Mayor Arrantlee Arroyo praises RCBC program to make bank services easily accessible to the people

Cavinti Mayor Arrantlee Arroyo attended the recent launch of the RCBC Moneybela Barangayan Banking program in Makati and praised the project.

Arroyo said the program would allow people to access services without going to an actual bank.

It aims to bring services traditionally done inside a bank closer to people in remote areas.

The RCBC Moneybela Barangayan Banking program would be like a mobile ATM.

Electric tricycles with banking support agents would go to far-flung areas and crowded places like terminals, markets, schools, health centers, and barangay halls.

They would offer services such as the opening of new bank accounts, bills payment, e-load, cash in or cash out, microinsurance, and telemedicine.

Arroyo said the program would also improve people’s financial literacy.

“Napakaganda po ng bagong serbisyong ito na hatid ng RCBC sa pakikipagtulungan ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, DILG, Department of Finance, DTI, DSWD at DICT dahil layunin po nito na mailapit sa ating mga kababayang nasa malalayong lugar ang mga serbisyong kalimitan ay sa loob lamang ng bangko ginagawa katulad ng pagggawa ng mga bagong bank accounts, bills payment, ELoad, Cash in o Cash out, Microinsurance at Telemedicine,” he said.
