Biñan Mayor Arman Dimaguila is vying for a Galing Pook Award for his city.
Dimaguila said on Facebook that Biñan is one of the finalists for the award, which is given to a local government unit for exemplary practices that bring change to a town or city.
Out of 196 local governments that participated, only 30 qualified to receive the award, he said.
Biñan’s entry for the award is the “Balik-Biñan: Tourism Development through Heritage Preservation and Promotion.”
Dimaguila led city officials in presenting the details of the project during the validation process headed by Milwida Guevara, Galing Pook 2022 national validator.
After the presentation, he joined the tour of Biñan’s heritage district.
