Younger counterparts of the officials of the Sangguniang Bayan of Majayjay got a taste of the legislative life recently.
The Little Officials, or junior high school students serving as counterparts of the council members, joined a recent session of the council and got to participate in its activities.
Majayjay Vice Mayor Ariel Argañosa said the Little Officials were allowed to serve alongside the council members so that they could experience passing resolutions and approving proposals.
The officials were all too happy to welcome the young leaders and to share their knowledge with them, Argañosa said.
He hopes the officials have been able to inspire the young leaders, he said.
“Nawa ay bitbitin ninyo ang karanasang ito upang maging inspirasyon ninyo hanggang sa makamig ninyo ang inyong mga pangarap sa buhay. Mabuhay kayo mga Kabataan at patunayan ninyo na tayo pa rin ang pag-asa ng Bayan!” he said.
