Taytay Councilor Lengjoey Calderon warns public vs scammers using hacked FB accounts

Aug 17, 2022 @ 9:21

Make sure you’re chatting with the right person.

Taytay Councilor Lengjoey Calderon has warned the public against scammers that are asking for money using hacked Facebook accounts.

In a Facebook post, Calderon two of her clients had their Facebook accounts hacked by scammers.

The scammers then chatted with their contacts and requested for money via Gcash, she said.

The scammers would look for messages from immediate families, relatives, and close friends and target them, she said.

She advised those who receive requests for money to call up the one making the request to be sure.

She also said people should use strong passwords, and should use a different one for each account.

Better to be safe than sorry!

Calderon posted.
