Antipolo hosts orientation on proper handling of meat sold in the markets

The Antipolo City government has made sure that the meat sold in its public market are handled properly and are safe for consumption.
The City Veterinary Office recently held an orientation at the City Mall of Antipolo to see to it that the meat vendors and stall orders would follow the guidelines set by the National Meat Inspection Service, according to Mayor Jun Ynares.
These include using chillers and freezers to store the meat, practicing proper and sanitary handling, and having NMIS documentation and meat handling certificates, Ynares said.
“May kasabihan, ‘you are what you eat,’ kaya isa ‘to sa mga hakbang ng CVO para laging SAFE, MALINIS, DEKALIDAD at walang nakakahawang sakit ang mga karneng inihahain natin,” he said.
