Santa Rosa City launches new Negosyo Center
Businessmen and would-be entrepreneurs in Santa Rosa could now enjoy the city’s newly-renovated Negosyo Center.
The new center was opened to the public earlier this month, along with the launching of the Electronic Business Name Registration.
The renovation of the center included the addition of new equipment, which helped improve its processes and allowed it to serve more clients.
These also make transactions faster, easier, and more convenient, the city government said.
Paulo Velasco, head of the City Cooperative Development Office and the Negosyo Center Manager, said the facility also has better connectivity, which is crucial since many services are now done online.
“Inayos namin ‘yong files and records since nagkaroon pa tayo ng karagdagang computers. Definitely, nag-improve din ‘yong (internet) connectivity. Ever since nagkaroon ng pandemic, naging online lahat tapos system-based ‘yong application ng DTI, pag walang connectivity talagang stop ‘yong services,” Velasco said.
The Negosyo Center is responsible for promoting ease of doing business and facilitating access to services for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
Santa Rosa’s launch of the Electronic Business Name Registration is also part of efforts to facilitate the ease of doing business in the city.
It is the first among local government units in Calabarzon to pilot the project.
Velasco said clients could register their business name in less than 10 minutes, and they could even opt to do it from the comfort of their home.
