Gumaca Museum to be part of the Local Historical Committees Network
The Museo ng Gumaca will be more involved in efforts to restore and preserve historical materials.
The Museo ng Gumaca announced that it was chosen to be part of the Local Historical Committees Network under the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
Its membership will be valid until July 31, 2025.
“Asahan nyo po na mas magiging aktibo ang Museo sa mga darating pang panahon! Maraming salamat sa mga sumusuporta at patuloy na nagmamahal sa pamana ng ating bayan!” it said on Facebook.
The Local Historical Committees Network is tasked to monitor, coordinate, support and affiliate various local historical bodies engaged in the collection, documentation, popularization, conservation, restoration and preservation of extant historical materials found in different parts of the Philippines.
It is also tasked to record the oral histories of towns, cities, provinces, regions and peoples.
