Batangas sets job fair for PWDs
The Batangas provincial government will be opening up opportunities for persons with disabilities by hosting a job fair for them later this month.
Preparations are underway for the job fair, which will be the first of its kind in the province, according to the Batangas public information office.
The job fair would be held on July 27 and would be part of the celebration of National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, it said.
This was in line with the provincial government’s efforts to provide a source of livelihood to PWDs, it said.
The Provincial Assistance for Community Development Office is spearheading the planning for the event and would be working with the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Batangas Medical Center, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood and Enterprise Development Office, Office of the Provincial Veterinarian, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, and Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office.
