Antipolo Mayor Andrea Ynares hails designation of Antipolo Cathedral as first intl shrine in the country
Antipolo Mayor Andrea Ynares is very happy that the Antipolo Cathedral, or the National Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, has been declared the first international shrine in the country.
It is also the first Marian National Shrine in all of Asia.
Bishop Francisco De Leon announced the good news during the mass to celebrate the 39th anniversary of the Diocese of Antipolo.
The Antipolo Cathedral is the third international shrine in Asia, the first two being the St. Thomas Church Malayattoor in India and the Haemi Martyrdom Holy Ground and Seoul Pilgrimage Routes in South Korea.
