Residents of Cavinti will have the chance to work in farms in South Korea.

The local government of Cavinti has signed a memorandum of understanding with Cheongsong-gun, Republic of Korea for the hiring of Cavinti residents for its Seasonal Workers Program, according to Cavinti Mayor Milbert Oliveros.

Under the program, Filipinos could work in the agriculture sector in Cheongsong-gun for three to five months.

They would be deployed in farms where they would help in planting and harvesting.

“This program will benefit Cavinti residents seeking job opportunities abroad while Korea will have hard-working, qualified and capable workers to do necessary farm activities,” Oliveros said on Facebook.

Present at the MOA signing were county governor Youn Kyun He, representatives from the Agriculture Department, Mayor Oliveros, and Vice Mayor Arrantlee Arroyo II.
