General Mariano Alvarez Mayor Maricel Torres has invited her constituents to attend the local government’s family planning activity to be held from July 6 to 8.

It will have the theme “Pag paplano ng Pamilyang GMAians, Tungo sa Kinabukasang Sigurado” and will be held at the rural health unit.

She said that as per the United Nations Population Fund, unintended pregnancies are considered an unseen crisis in the world, and one of the reasons for this is poor family planning.

“Kaya ngayong Hulyo, tinatawagan po ang mga kababaihan (reproductive age), tara na at dumalo sa ating activity upang makakuha ng mga kaalaman sa contraceptives, family planning at pag-iwas ang teenage pregnancy,” she said on Facebook.
