Sariaya Councilor Arlene Genove’s parents shed tears at her oath-taking

Jun 15, 2022 @ 9:21

Sariaya Councilor Arlene Genove’s mother shed tears of joy during her oath-taking for her fresh term.

Her father laughed at her mom, but later on cried as well, although it was because of his tight barong, said Genove.

In a Facebook post, Genove said her parents are very proud of her.

They are just a simple family with a simple life, and had experienced being looked down on, she said.

They could not believe the support and love that the people have for her, she said.

This is why her victory is the victory of the people as well, she added.

She thanked her parents and siblings and all those who have supported her in this journey.

Their hard work and sacrifice have paid off.

In turn, she vowed to serve the people to the best of her ability.

She will continue to make them proud!

,” Genove posted.
