Real, Quezon farmers get certified palay seeds, agri implements

Rice farmers in Real received certified palay seeds as well as agricultural implements to help boost their productivity.
They were given 215 sacks of rice seeds from the Rice Farmers Financial Assistance Program of the Department of Agriculture.
The farmers also got agricultural sprayers, power growth boosters, trays, fertilizers and fruit-bearing tree seedlings from the local government.
The distribution of the items was led by Real Mayor Bing Diestro-Aquino, who urged farmers’ groups to form a federation.
“Hangad ng ating punong bayan na magkaroon ng pederasyon ang mga asosasyon ng magsasaka upang mas lalong mapaunlad at mapalawig ang mga programang ibinababa ng pamahaalaan at sa pakikipagtulungan ng Lokal na Pamahalaan katuwang ang Tanggapan ng Pambayang Agrikultur,” the Real local government said on Facebook.
