Sariaya Mayor Marcelo Gayeta has no qualms joining basketball games with his constituents.
In a Facebook post, Gayeta said it warms his heart whenever he hears them saying they feel honored that the mayor is playing a game with them.
But he is also thankful for the opportunity to spend time with them.
It is during these games that he forges friendships with the people he serves, he said.
Playing basketball with them helped him win as mayor, he added.
Basketball is a great bonding activity!
“Nakakataba ng pusong marinig sating mga kababayan na karangalan daw nila na makalaro ang isang mayor..Ako po ang nag papasalamat dahil dito po ako nakakuha ng napakaraming kaibigan sa pag lalaro ng basketball.Kaya naging daan upang maging mayor po tayo,” Gayeta posted.
