Infanta rewards vaccine recipients with rice and canned goods
The local government of Infanta has enticed people to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by offering them rice and canned goods.
Those who got their second dose received three kilos of rice and canned goods, while those who go their first dose received two kilos and canned goods, the Infanta LGU said.
This is meant to thank them for getting vaccinated and protecting themselves against the coronavirus, it said.
It continued to urge residents to get the jab.
Vaccination is available from Monday to Friday, it said.
It also said at least 70 percent of the population must be vaccinated for the municipality to be placed under alert level 1.
