Dasmariñas launches project for solar power in public schools
Schools in Dasmariñas City are going green and turning to a sustainable source of energy.
The Dasmariñas government recently launched Green E-Skwela; Energy Sustainability Project for the Public Schools, where 14 schools will get solar panels that would serve as a source of energy.
It is a joint project of Dasmariñas with Spectrum Incorporated, a subsidiary of Meralco.
Leading the event were Mayor Jenny Barzaga, Cavite Rep. Pidi Barzaga, and Meralco First Vice President and Spectrum President, Ferdinand Geluz.
Mayor Barzaga said the project would help the environment and provide a clean source of energy for the city.
“With our goal to focus on the environment, this project will have a huge impact on providing clean and sufficient POWER to the PEOPLE of Dasmariñas, whilst being able to contribute in saving our PLANET in PARTNERSHIP to PROSPERITY,” she said on Facebook.
