Jun 2, 2022 @ 12:13

Scammers seem to be fond of dropping the names of local officials to get free items.

The local government of Carmona has warned establishments in the town against an individual or a group using the name of Mayor Roy Loyola to place reservations and order items.

“Isang uri ng modus ang nakaabot sa aming tanggapan na mayroong diumano’y nagpapakilala bilang si Mayor Roy M. Loyola sa text or phone call upang magpa-reserve at umorder ng anumang produkto,” it said on Facebook.

Those who receive suspicious orders or who have fallen prey to this modus should report the matter to the authorities, it said.

They could call the Carmona police at (046) 430-0911 / 09266620472 or reach out to its through its Facebook account, it said.
