Ibaan breaks ground for new township project

New buildings are set to rise in Ibaan.
Ibaan Mayor Joy Salvame led the recent groundbreaking ceremony for the infrastructure projects under the Bagong Ibaan Township Project.
These include elevated water system facilities intended to address the water supply problem in parts of the town, a two-storey market mall that would be the center of commerce in town, and a three-storey government center.
The groundbreaking is historic for Ibaan, Salvame said.
“Ngayon po ang araw kung saan may legasiya po tayong nagawa. Isa pong legasiya ng lakas at kapangyarihan na kung saan ang kapakanan ng taong bayan ang nangunguna. Ito po ang bagong kasaysayan ng byaaan ng Ibaan,” she said.
The project would help not just the town’s economy, but that of the province of Batangas, she said.
