Solar power plant to rise in Rizal province

The Rizal provincial government has signed a memorandum of agreement with PH Renewables, Inc. for the construction of a 115 megawatt solar power plant in the province.
It would be built on a 130 hectare area and would be one of the biggest solar farms in the country, according to the Rizal government.
Rizal Gov. Nini Ynares hailed the project, saying it would provide a cheap energy source and would be environment-friendly.
It would create more jobs and could serve as a tourist attraction as well, Ynares added.
The solar power plant project is expected to be completed before the end of the year.
