Taytay Councilor Papoo Cruz urges next mayor to retain trained MDRRMO personnel
Taytay Councilor Papoo Cruz hopes that the next mayor will retain the personnel of the Municipal Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office who have undergone technical training.
Cruz filed a resolution urging Taytay’s incoming mayor Allan de Leon to retain the services of the job order MDRRMO personnel that have completed their training and have first hand experience in rescue and disaster relief operations.
In his resolution, he said these personnel have been apolitical in fulfilling their duties and have responded to the needs of Taytay residents during emergencies, disasters, calamities and the like.
“Thus, having them relieved from their posts will be greatly disadvantageous to our constituents and the local government of Taytay as this can be a matter of life and death as disasters, natural or man-made, are always imminent,” he said.
