Cavite workers may get wage increase, says Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla
Cavite Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla is expecting good news after the public hearing on the proposal to grant a wage hike to workers in the Calabarzon region.
The hearing was led by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board and held at the Legislative Building of Cavite.
A statement from Revilla quoted wage board Regional Director Exequiel De Guzmans as saying that a wage increase could be expected.
Revilla has been pushing for an increase in wages.
He filed a resolution last year to increase the salaries of Cavite workers to the same level as that of Metro Manila workers’.
He also said the increase should be similar to that of NCR because the prices of goods in Cavite and in the capital region are the same.
