Helen Tan says her historic win as Quezon governor is the province’s victory as well
Quezon Rep. Helen Tan is expected sit as the province’s first woman governor next month, and she said she’s not the only winner.
Her win is also Quezon province’s victory as it will enjoy a new hope, said Tan.
“Hindi ito ang aking pagwawagi. Ito ay tagumpay ng sambayanang Quezonian! Pagbati sa lahat, sama-sama tayo sa panibagong pag-asa!” she said on Facebook.
Partial and unofficial results show Tan enjoying a huge lead over her closest rival, incumbent Gov. Danilo Suarez.
Based on 99.92 percent of election returns, Tan had 790,423 votes while Suarez had 320,280.
