Magallanes LGU gets highest audit rating from COA

Magallanes Mayor Jasmin Maligaya Bautista is proud of the local government’ personnel and its accounting team for the municipality’s stellar performance in the most recent audit.
Magallanes obtained an unqualified rating from the Commission on Audit, which means the audit agency found its financial records in good order.
“An ‘UNQUALIFIED or UNMODIFIED’ audit opinion is the highest and rare audit judgment that financial statements are fairly and appropriately presented, without any identified exceptions, and in compliance with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards and generally accepted accounting principles,” Bautista explained.
This underscores the good work done by the local government, she said.
“This reflects the culture of service excellence through modesty, innovative and transformational leadership towards people empowerment!!! Ang paglilingkod ng matino, mahusay at may pagmamahal sa bayan at sa mamamayan ang aming gabay!” she said.
