Sampaloc celebrates farmers, launches IT services center for them
The Sampaloc local government has shown how important its farmers are with the recent holding of the Araw ng mga Magsasaka.
The occasion was marked by a showcase of the farmers’ best harvests in an exhibit and contest, as well as by the parading of decorated carabaos.
The local government also launched the new Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center in the town, which is the 15th of its kind in Quezon province.
The FITS Center provides provide information and technology services in agriculture, fishery, forestry and natural resources, and strengthen the link between technology generators, technology servers and technology adopters.
