Alitagtag receives Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping

Alitagtag Mayor Edilberto Ponggos is proud of the municipality’s performance in 2021 that earned it the Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping.
It shows that the local government was able to handle its finances and carry out transactions properly, said Ponggos.
He said the Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping is given by the Department of the Interior and Local Government and Commission on Audit to local governments that were able to use funds efficiently, and to follow accounting and auditing standards.
It also given to those that followed the full disclosure policy for local budget and finances and bids and public offerings, and transparency in the use of funds for projects that benefit the public, he said.
