Cainta Councilor Edwin Cruz meets colon cancer patient he helped
Cainta Councilor Edwin Cruz was happy to have done an act of kindness for a man who needed to have a colon operation.
The man, Jose Antiga, is now colon-cancer free.
Cruz met Antiga on the campaign trail and posed for a photo with him, which he shared on Facebook.
The politiko recalled that Antiga’s relative sought financial support for his operation because his hospital bills were already sky high and his family could not afford to pay for these.
Cruz said it was fortunate that he knew people in the hospital and was able to seek help for Antiga, who was able to get his release clearance without shelling out a cent.
Antiga is now doing well.
His act of kindness has paid off!
“One day his relative came to my office seeking financial support for his colon operation. His hospital bill skyrocketed to an amount the family cannot afford. The relative told me where he is confined and fortunately I have connection in the said hospital. I spoke to the one in-charge and he was able to get his release clearance without a cent to pay.
He is Jose Antiga and he is now colon cancer free. To God be all the glory
Each one of us is given in our lifetime a chance to do an act of kindness. I had my chance and I am glad I did it on the right time to the one greatly in need.
