General Luna Mayor Matt Florido gets hug from Leni Robredo

General Luna Mayor Matt Florido chose to forego dressing up in a fancy outfit to make sure that he would get to see Vice President Leni Robredo during her campaign visit to Quezon for her presidential bid.
In a Facebook post, Florido said he went to Catanauan in shorts and slippers because he had come from a house to house campaign and did not want to change outfits lest he be late for Robredo’s event.
Upon getting to the venue, he went near the stairs where Robredo would pass so that he could have a photo with her.
His efforts were rewarded as he got to meet her.
Robredo was surprised to see him as she did not expect that he would go to the event, he said.
She gave him a hug that he cherished.
He feels her love for the people and the country, he said.

Nasa baba lang ako ng entablado, nanonood, nakinig. Pero pumwesto ako sa hagdan na alam ko na doon bababa si VP para lamang magpapicture. Inabangan ko talaga siya. Nang makita ako ni VP, nagulat siya. Nasurprise ko daw siya. Hindi niya akalain na ako ay darating.
