Antipolo receives fiscal management award from DOF
The Department of Finance has hailed Antipolo City’s practices that would help its economy to recover from the pandemic.
The DOF has recognized Antipolo for the Best Local Fiscal Management Practice in the area of Recovery Initiative to Help Rebuild the Economy, according to Mayor Andrea Ynares.
“Unti-unting nakabangon ang ating mga local businesses at MSME’s sa tulong ng ating best practices in Local Treasury and/or Assessment Services,” Ynares said on Facebook.
These include exemption from business taxes, fees, and charges for establishments who earn no higher than P200,000, and the 50 percent good samaritan discount in business tax for establishments that were used as quarantine/isolation facilities or testing centers.
Ynares said Antipolo was also the top 1 among all cities in the Philippines when it comes to the 2019 Year-on-Year Growth in Locally Sourced Revenues, as per the DOF.
This has made Antipolo a city to emulate, she said.
