Batangas halts distribution of financial assistance due to the campaign

The Batangas government has advised students and scholars of the province that it has put on hold the distribution of educational assistance grants.
In a Facebook post, the Batangas public information office said all releases for the social services programs have been put on hold due to the Commission on Elections’ spending ban.
“Related to this, all Educational Assistance Grants Distribution and other related activities using public funds are suspended effective immediately and will resume upon lifting of said Election Ban,” it said.
But it said it has already requested for an exemption from the poll body.
Once this is granted, the distribution of funds would resume.
“If in case our request for exemption is deemed approved, then we will resume our distribution. HUWAG MANGAMBA, HINDI IKAW MAIIWAN,” it said.
