No birthday cakes for seniors and PWDs during the campaign, says Pagsanjan Mayor Peter Trinidad
There will be no cake in the meantime for senior citizens and persons with disabilities from Pagsanjan who will celebrate their birthdays during the campaign period, according to Mayor Peter Trinidad.
In a Facebook post, Trinidad said the local government’s program of providing cakes to birthday celebrators is covered by the Commission on Elections’ spending ban.
He apologized for the temporary halt to the program, and said the delivery of cakes would resume once the prohibition is lifted.
For now, maybe a birthday greeting would do!
#TheGloryBelongsToGOD,” Trinidad posted.
