Silang Mayor Corie Poblete worries over fake Facebook account, disabling of LGU personnel accounts

Silang Mayor Corie Poblete is concerned that Facebook may be used to sow disinformation during the election period.
Poblete said many workers of the Silang local government had their Facebook accounts disabled at the same time.
The disabled accounts included the one belonging to her sister Omil Poblete, who is running for mayor.
To make things worse, a new account using Omil’s name Emilia Poblete has surfaced, the mayor said.
This is fake and does not belong to her sister, she said.
She warned the public against believing this new account.
“Nakababahala ang ganitong mga kaganapan na nararanasan ng ating mga kababayan. Kaya’t bilang Ina ng Silang, ating pinaaalalahanan ang lahat na mag-ingat at maging mapanuri upang hindi malinlang ng disinformation,” she said.
