He’s no land grabber, says Paete Mayor Mutuk Bagabaldo
Paete Mayor Mutuk Bagabaldo would like to make it clear that he’s not engaged in the unauthorized use of land in pursuit of a project for the town.
In a Facebook post, Bagabaldo said he was accused of using his position to get other people’s property to put up a plantation.
But there is no truth to this, he said, as the land concerned was considered alienable and disposable.
His use of the property went through the proper processes and was supported by documents, he said.
He said the land would be used for establishing a Batikuling Plantation that his son would continue to ensure wood security for the woodcarving industry.
All that he is doing is for the sake of Paete, he said.
