The General Mariano Alvarez local government is bent on regulating the campaign materials around town.
On the second day of the local campaign period, it started dismantling tarpaulins and posters that are not in the proper places, and which do not follow size regulations, it said.
It said this was in compliance with the Fair Election, Act, the Commission on Elections’ rules, and GMA’s own regulations.
“Nauna nang nagpulong ang COMELEC, PNP, at MENRO tungkol dito, habang kasama namang tumulong na magbaklas ang mga staff mula sa BFP, GSO and Traffic Management Office,” it said.
