Taytay is fourth highest municipality for locally sourced revenues
Taytay has received recognition for its efforts to properly collect taxes.
Taytay Mayor Joric Gacula announced that Taytay is top 4 among municipalities in the country for the highest nominal locally sourced revenue.
The recognition was given by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, said Gacula.
He said this was a testament to the effectivity of the local government’s tax collection efforts even amid the pandemic.
“Ang pagkilalang ito ay malinaw na indikasyon na maayos nating nakokolekta ang buwis ng ating mga lokal na negosyo at imprastaktura sa ating bayan, kahit pa man sa gitna ng ating kinakaharap na pandemya,” he said on Facebook.
He thanked the responsible residents of Taytay for paying their taxes, and vowed to use these properly.
“Makakaasa kayo na lahat ng ito ay parati nating gagamitin sa tama at mapupunta sa pagpapaunlad ng ating bayan ng Taytay tungo sa paglago ng ating ekonomiya,” he said.
