Santa Maria Mayor Cindy Carolino thanks convenience store chain for opening in her town
Santa Maria is progressing and poverty is going away.
One sign of this is the opening of an Alfamart branch, for which Santa Maria Mayor Cindy Carolino is grateful.
In a Facebook post, Carolino thanked the Alfamart group of stores for trusting Santa Maria.
She said she was happy to hear from Alfamart itself that poverty incidence in the town went down to 6.18 percent in 2018 from 20.06 percent in 2009.
This was an impressive improvement, she said.
She was grateful for businesses that trust Santa Maria and provide more jobs to its residents, she said.
More shopping options means more business!
“Congratulations and Thank You Alfamart group of stores for trusting Santa Maria.
#PagkakataonAtOportunidad,” Carolino posted.
