Farmers from the town of San Jose will soon be flying to the land of oppas and kimchi.
The farmers from the different barangays will go to South Korea to work as seasonal farmers, according to San Jose Mayor Ben Patron.
This was made possible by his and the agriculture office’s coordination with the provincial and national government.
He said the program would not only allow the farmers to earn an P83,000 monthly salary, it would also enrich their knowledge about farming.
“Sa ganitong programa, madadagdagan ang kanilang kaalaman at karanasan sa larangan ng pagsasaka kung saan makakatanggap sila ng Php 83,000 monthly salary,” he said.
He wished the farmers good luck on their journey.
“Nawa’y maging malaking tulong ito sa inyong mga pamilya. Bon voyage, seasonal farmers!” he said.
