Infanta Vice Mayor LA Ruanto warns vs troll twisting Kaliwa Dam case
Infanta Vice Mayor LA Ruanto has warned against a troll who is trying to twist the meaning of a court case that he and Councilor Mannie America, NGOs and prelates from Infanta filed to stop the construction of a road to the Kaliwa Dam project.
The troll, who uses the name “Ethel Ruanto” was trying to make much of the inclusion of Infanta Mayor Filipina Grace America among the respondents.
But Vice Mayor Ruanto’s Facebook page explained that the mayor was included in the case, which is neither criminal nor administrative, so that the court would give her the authority to issue a stoppage order against the access road construction.
If the petition is granted, the court would have a legal basis to allow the mayor to stop the construction that would lead to the further cutting of trees, it said.
It urged the public to be discerning about the information being put out by people who are out to sow trouble or confusion.
Beware of truth twisters!
Maging maingat at mapanuri. Ruanto,” Ruanto’s page posted.
