Majayjay LGU provides P2000 assistance to registered sari-sari stores
The Majayjay local government has come to the aid of registered sari-sari store owners.
It recently distributed P2,000 each to sari-sari stores with business permits that were not included in the aid program of Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano, according to Majayjay Mayor Jojo Clado.
The amount is intended to help tide them over during the pandemic and is a benefit of those who pay permits, said Clado.
“Sabi ko nga, dahil sila ay tumutulong sa Pamahalaang Bayan sa pamamagitan ng kanilang buwis, binabalik lang namin ito sa kanila. Yan po ang pagkakaiba ng may Permit at wala. KInikilala sila ng Pamahalaang Bayan at natutulungan,” he said on Facebook.
He thanked them for doing their civic duty and supporting Majayjay’s progress.
More assistance will come their way in the future, he added.
