Antipolo backs program to promote eating rabbit meat

Antipolo City is participating in the Department of Agriculture’s Rabbit Meat Production Program.
A population survey of rabbits in the city was recently conducted, according to Mayor Andrea Ynares.
She said rabbit meat is delicious and low in cholesterol.
It is being promoted as a healthy meat as well because it is rich in vitamins and protection, as well as omega 3 fatty acids, calcium, and potassium.
“Di hamak na healthier alternative ang rabbit meat kaya perfect choice ‘to sa mga health-conscious nating mga kababayan!” she said on Facebook.
Those who are interested in the program could get in touch with the City Veterinary Office at the first floor of the San Jose National High School, she said.
