General Luna Mayor Matt Florido distributes over P400,000 worth of assistance

General Luna Mayor Matt Florido spent his Valentine’s Day not on a romantic date, but distributing different forms of assistance to his constituents.
Florido said he visited Barangay Malaya to bring a light source to the residents who had requested for it.
He also distributed P4,000 cash assistance to some residents, while others received burial and medical assistance ranging from P5,000 to P15,000.
“Bakit nga ba maraming pondong pantulong ang ating munisipyo sa kasalukuyan? Dahil prioridad namin ang pagbibigay tulong sa ating mga mamamayan,” he said on Facebook.
He also said he did not want the people begging for assistance from the government.
“Kapag kaya ng pondo ng ating bayan, ito ay ating ibinibigay at ginagawan ng paraan,” he added.
