Silang teams up with Korean county for agri program

The Korean craze in the Philippines isn’t limited to K-dramas and K-pop.
The Silang local government is also teaming up with Korea for agriculture.
Silang Mayor Corie Poblete announced that she has signed a memorandum of agreement with Muan Gun, Jeollanam Do, for the Foreign Seasonal Worker Program and the development of Silang’s agriculture sector.
“Ito ay may kinalaman sa pagpapalakas ng mga farmers natin at pagpapakalago ng agrikultura na meron tayo ngayon,” Poblete said on Facebook.
She said this program would help not just agriculture, but education and tourism as well.
It would likewise create jobs, she said.
